Meet Your Coach


    Jack Beach is a USA Track & Field Level 1 Certified Coach.  He is also a Team In Training Certified Coach.  Jack coached walk and run marathon, half marathon, and marathon relay teams for four seasons for Team In Training.  He coached the Greater Maryland Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association's marathon, half marathon, and marathon relay team for its first three years (2008-2010).  Jack is a long-distance runner who has completed eight marathons and sixteen half marathons including the Marine Corps Marathon twice, Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge twice (a half marathon on Saturday followed by a marathon on Sunday at Walt Disney World), the Baltimore Marathon, Half Marathon, and Marathon Relay.  He has trained hundreds of athletes who have successfully completed races at distances from 5K through marathons.  

    Jack coached Fleet Feet Sports Baltimore's first-ever "No Boundaries" New Year's Resolution 5K program whose athletes competed on New Year's Day of 2011.  He also coached their "Jump Start" 5K program that competed at the New Year's Resolution 5K on January 1, 2012.  He has coached the Fleet Feet Sports Cold Turkey 10K fall training program for the first four years of its existence.  He coached the initial Fleet Feet Sports half marathon program in the spring of 2009, coached the 2011 spring half marathon program, and his currently coaching the spring half marathon program.   Jack also coached the inaugural Fleet Feet Sports Spring 10K program in 2011 and is currently coaching the Spring 10K program.

    Jack specializes in coaching new-to-the-sport of long-distance running athletes and new-to-an-increase-in-race distance athletes.  His coaching philosphy is simple:  Run to your maximum ability and have fun!
